Yarn-Wrapped Fall Wreath {Fall Pinterest Challenge}

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! After a long, rain-filled and incredibly windy (50+ MPH winds) Monday, I am ready for things to become calm again! And today, I have an awesome DIY to share with you - and I sharing it with you today as my part in the Fall Pinterest Challenge!

Once each season, the wonderful Sherry from Young House Love and Katie from Bower Power join their forces (they are best friends, after all) to throw a fun link-up - the Pinterest Challenge! This Fall, I used yarn (again) to create a fun Fall wreath! I was "pin-spired" by this picture on Pinterest and knew right away that I wanted to put together a slightly "warmer" version.

First, I grabbed a wreath form, chunky orange sweater yarn, felt, and my hot glue gun.

Then, I started by wrapping the wreath form in the deep orange yarn. I started by the seam in the wreath form and full wrapped it in the yarn. Every four fingers worth of yarn, I lapped over a bit of the previous yarn, in order to keep it from getting uneven. I also made sure to dab a little extra hot glue to keep it in place as I wrapped the wreath form.

Then, I used a cookie cutter to trace leaves on the felt, and cut them out of the felt.

Using my hot glue gun, I then attached the leaves on the left side of the wreath.

Finally, using a bright green ribbon, I was able to hang it up!

I am so happy with this project, and so excited to have some more Fall-like colors added to our home decor! This project was so much fun and so easy! And a bonus - it was under $20! I love the colors and the fun felt leaves - everything about this project was a lot of fun!

Have you made any fun, inspired Fall decor lately? Added any warm colors to your home decor? I'd love to hear about it if you have!
